WE ARE HIRING

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Director of Better, Faster, Simpler
(aka Operations Optimization & AI Initiatives Lead)

Build & Redesign How Work Actually Happens

This role is for a systems thinker, an explorer, and a creative.

We’re looking for someone who rethinks how work happens across our entire organization and is genuinely excited to push the boundaries of what’s possible with AI.

You’ll be responsible for identifying inefficiencies, redesigning workflows, and implementing practical solutions using automation, AI, and modern tools. You’ll help us discover new ways of working by experimenting, building, and applying emerging capabilities in real time.

Why this is a uniquely compelling role

We’re not a traditional company, and this isn’t a traditional operations role.

Novus Global is a firm of meta-performing franchise owners that collectively serve executives, teams, athletes, entrepreneurs, and anyone who wants to explore what they’re capable of. Our business is human, fast-moving, and constantly evolving, so how we operate behind the scenes needs to evolve just as quickly.

This role sits at the center of that.

You’ll redesign how work actually works

You won’t just improve existing processes.  You’ll step back and rethink them. You’ll help us move from “this works” to “this works simply, intelligently, and at scale.”

You’ll actively explore what’s possible with AI

You’ll stay close to emerging tools and capabilities, test ideas quickly, and bring forward new ways AI can meaningfully improve how we operate.

You’ll partner to build tools and agents

You have some understanding of what’s possible with digital intelligence and how that changes every day. You won’t be expected to engineer complex systems yourself, but you will work closely with developers and technical partners to design and shape tools, automations, and AI agents that improve our workflows.

You’ll build leverage across the organization

Your work will reduce friction, eliminate duplication, and free up time and energy across teams. The impact of this role compounds quickly.

You’ll partner with thoughtful, growth-oriented people and enroll us in rapid iteration and change

Our culture is centered on development, ownership, and high standards. People here care about getting better and doing meaningful work.

You’ll bring clarity to a dynamic environment

If you enjoy taking something that’s working and making it simpler, cleaner, and more scalable, and using AI to accelerate that, you’ll find this role deeply satisfying and fun.

What we care about

We believe high performance matters, but it’s not the end of the story.

We care about building cultures of nobility where prosperity, generosity, creativity, and community are all part of how we operate. We work with leaders who want to succeed, but also want to do so in a way that creates something meaningful for the people around them.

That belief shapes how we show up internally as well. We’re committed to doing excellent work while also building a place where people can grow, contribute, and be part of something that feels worthwhile.

What you’ll own
  • Mapping how work currently happens across operations
  • Identifying inefficiencies, friction, and duplication
  • Redesigning workflows to be simpler, faster, and more scalable
  • Building lightweight automations and systems (no-code/low-code + AI tools)
  • Exploring and testing new AI capabilities and applying them to real workflows
  • Partnering with developers to design and implement tools, automations, and AI agents
  • Improving how information flows across people, roles, and systems
  • Driving adoption of new workflows and tools across the team
  • Continuously refining workflows based on real-world usage and feedback
What makes this role different
  • You won’t inherit clean systems. You’ll build and improve them
  • You’ll have real ownership, not just responsibility
  • You’ll help us move from “it works” to “it works simply, intelligently, and scales.”
  • You’ll actively explore and apply AI
  • You’ll help shape how AI shows up in our operations as we grow
We’re looking for someone who
  • Is genuinely curious about AI and enjoys testing what’s possible
  • Thinks in systems and naturally sees how workflows connect
  • Takes initiative and brings ideas, not just execution
  • Can move between big-picture thinking and hands-on implementation
  • Is comfortable operating in environments that aren’t fully defined yet
  • Has experience with workflow tools and automation (Zapier, Airtable, etc.)
  • Is excited to partner with technical builders to bring ideas to life
You might not enjoy this role if
  • You aren't interested in a high-growth, high-feedback culture.
  • You prefer highly structured environments with clearly defined processes
  • You want to focus only on execution rather than redesign
  • You’re not interested in experimenting with new tools or ways of working
  • You prefer purely technical or purely analytical roles
