Rob

Blackledge

Executive Coach

From childhood, all I wanted was to play professional baseball. At 18, I helped my team win the Mississippi 5A State Championship, but soon after, my passion for the game faded. Instead of college ball, I flew to China for six weeks, sparking a lifelong love of adventure.

I later attended Belmont University (2002–2005), pursuing music and performing in multiple “Best of the Best” showcases. After graduation, I signed with Nettwerk Management and began touring nationally. In 2008, I wrote “Runaway,” recorded by Love and Theft, which hit #10 on the Billboard Country Chart and launched my songwriting career.

I co-founded the band Blackjack Billy, and our hit “Booze Cruise” led to record deals, world tours, and major festival appearances across North America, Canada, and Australia from 2013–2014.

In 2015, after my first child was born, I shifted paths —earning a master’s in counseling, launching a private practice in 2019, and later joining African Leadership to oversee marketing and strategy.

In 2025, I discovered my true calling as an executive coach with Novus Global — helping leaders tap into creativity, purpose, and discipline to go beyond high performance and win their own championships.
