Position Overview:
The Vice President of Finance and Operations (VPFO) is a key member of the executive team responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of scalable processes and systems to support our rapid growth. The VPFO will lead a small operations team and manage higher-level accounting responsibilities This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in finance and operations, capable of driving efficiency and excellence across the organization. Additionally, the VPFO will serve as the primary operational voice to the coaches, ensuring that their needs and feedback are integrated into the company’s operational strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
Oversee all financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for the company, subsidiaries, and sister company.
Manage cash flow, financial planning, and risk management to maintain financial stability.
Perform high-level accounting tasks similar to those of a controller to ensure financial integrity.
Operational Leadership:
Develop and implement scalable processes and systems to support 30% year-over-year growth.
Lead and mentor a small operations team, fostering a culture of efficiency and continuous improvement aligned with our GOLIVE values of Growth, Ownership, Love, Integrity, Vision, and Energy.
Oversee the integration and optimization of various systems to streamline operations.
Collaborate with executive leadership to align operational strategies with business objectives.
Serve as the primary operational voice to the coaches, ensuring their feedback and needs are addressed in operational plans.
Human Resources and Team Development:
Foster a collaborative meta performance culture within the finance and operations team.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
Strategic Planning and Execution:
Work closely with the CEO and executive team to develop and execute long-term strategic plans.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency.
Lead initiatives to enhance the scalability and effectiveness of the company’s operations.
Regularly communicate with coaches to understand their operational challenges and incorporate their insights into strategic planning.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance and operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Proven experience in a high-growth environment, preferably within the professional services or coaching industry.
Strong understanding of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement scalable processes.
Proficient in financial software and systems integration.
Ability to effectively communicate with and understand the needs of coaches and integrate their feedback into operations.
